..of Vande Matharam and of dealing with bored guys..

Posted by Nimmy on November 6, 2009

I wonder what made these people/Maulavis come up with such a fatwa on Vande Matharam,now.. I am sick of dealing with Love Jidah, and yes, there comes Vande Matharam Fatwa..I have no idea why people can’t leave us laymen on their own. Your fatwas make no sense to us,except that you are adding fuel to our burning lives. Instead of combing your beautiful beards and rant unnecessary stuff, please come down to us and deal with our problems and instead of again issuing fatwas that  are of remote concern to a hungry man,may he be religious or not, please so something so that our lives have some betterment. Please provide us some food and opportunities for better education and empowerment, and then you are welcome to talk on matters like this.I am sure that the money spent on organizing that seminar would have been spent on much better productive activities. If you can’t do that, please refrain from making such statements as it is like throwing food to hungry animals, who are eager to tear it apart.

Tell me what sense does this fatwa make to you and me,this day? When you are sure that your statement not only will bring anything good, but also will make situations worse, please keep such religious statments to yourself as we have no worries going to hell just because we sang Vande Matharam. And just in case we ended up in hell becasue of this,I will tell my Lord to excuse you from not providing us valuable fatwas…But I am sure that I alone would suffer then, instead of huge lot of people who have to answer to pointed fingers and have to rant ,like me,to prove how patriotic I am to my motherland. Thank God I love Vande Matharam, otherwise I’ld have had to pick my train to Lahore this evening, for people who don’t sing this song are not allowed to stay in this country. And yes, tell me why don’t you issue a fatwa against science lessons at school, for evolution and other stuff is totally against creationism. Should I stop learning Vedic Maths?

And yes,I am happy that I am going to read on various Sanghi statements these days,as this is a good fodder for those people who were bored after the sad election results. You are bored,so you issed a fatwa,They are equally bored,so they are going to sing songs over this ..I suggest Thakereys to brew on something else rather than book us tickets to Pakistan. If anyday I need a litmus test on my nationalism and patriotism,i’ll come to you.And you fatwa-issuers  aren’t any better than Sanghis as your sole intention is to divide the community and make your grip over us,more tightened. If it were not so,you would have made more involvement is issues that are basic to religion. But let me tell you again, your statement makes no sense to us,for we are proud Indian Muslims whose faith is no weak as a strand of white beard. We know what we believe in,we know what we stand for,we know what we are proud of,we know to which community do we belong to,and finally,we know that people like you are good for nothing except create issues and spoil our daily life peace.

p.s :I remember BJP leaders doing lip-sync of Vande Matharam, when they all sang it together, the last time this fatwa issue made news. So,are they eligible to be transported to Lahore?

…of Love and Love jihad

Posted by Nimmy on November 1, 2009

A: I hate readiing newspapers, but these days,I can’t take my head out of it..Its all so exciting news..

Me: Uh,what is it so exciting..All I read is about Maoists,VS,and lot of accidents,I don’t find them exciting.

A: Didn’t you read about Love Jihad?

Me: What is that?

A: It is an organisation that aims at converting girls through love  marriage is functioning in Kerala. Hundreds of girls have been converted by this organisation through this strategy. This organisation makes use of groups of boys belonging to a particular religious faith. They are taught how to lure girls coming from different religious persuasions. They have been ordered to leave those girls who do not fall into their “love trap” within two weeks. Further, the organisation orders their followers to marry them within a short period of six month and to have at least four childrenThe “Love Jihad” organisation provides their members with mobile phones, motor cycles, good clothing, etc. for more effective allurment of girls.

Me: What the heck…Are Hindu /Christian girls, and in this case educated ones in particular,so gullible that anybody who pass by can trap them using mobile phones and battas?

A: That’s not it in complete.Various organisations have started campaging against this Love Jihad.Didn’t you read that The Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Conference (KCBC), the umbrella organisation of all the bishops of the Catholic rites of Kerala, has started awareness campaigns to teach Christian girls and parents about the dangers of the “holy war of love” by certain Islamic groups. The council asks the parents to be on the alert at all times about the responses of their daughters, so that the danger of their falling into the Love Jehad trap could be avoided. Both Hindu and Christian girls are falling prey to the design. So we are cooperating with the VHP on tackling this. We will work together to whatever extent possible.

Me : But…

A : Wait, let me complete..Pramod Muthalik, the whole sale protector  of Hindu culture has said that Sri Ram Sena has,  braced itself to protect this country and their sisters and would soon start nation-wide agitations against this issue. Sri Ram Sena will, however, not take law in its hand; but if the Government prefers to ignore them, they will have no option but to follow the same path as done in ‘pub’ issue in Karnataka.

Me : OhI know how they handled the pub issue..

A: They say that more than 4000 girls have been converted this way..

Me :What is the source?

A :Don’t ask unnecessary questions you silly girl..

Me :

A: So that you may know,Shri Rama Sene will launch a nation-wide `Save our daughters, save India’ campaign, beginning in Karnataka, against `love jihad’.

Me :Ha ha,I am glad that atleast some people are working towards the progressivness of Hindu and Christian girls..It is sad  that muslim girls are doomed and have nobody to help them when they marry out of caste..Ok,now stop overloading me with news bits ,and tell me in detail what this drama of love is all about.

A :Ok,I ‘ll explain..It all started with a love story of Silja Raj (23), a civil engineering graduate, who ran away with Ashkar,a taxi driver. She married him and later converted to Islam.Relatives enter the scene, they file complaint aginst Ashkar for kidnapping their daughter, the court intervenes,Silja says that the two were in love and that she came to him on her own and that she doesn’t want to go with her parents. But strangely, the court  asked the Karnataka DGP and IG to conduct investigation into the matter (including any role of ‘love jihad’) and to submit a report by November 13. The girl was asked to stay with her parents till that time.

Me: Hey hey, whatz that? She is 23,legally an adult..Then how can the court make an order infringing a human’s basic freedom and right to choose what she feels is right..

A : So? this world is  load of hypocrites..Feminists and others champions of human rights rant and shout about freedom of expression, freedom of choice bla bla bla..Where were they when this happened..I am sure atleast a majority would  not have missed this news. And moreover,we hear about Talibans and Talibanization of India etc etc etc every now and then. Tell me,how does it differ from a Taliban in this particular case?

Me :Thatz not true..The PUCL will question the decision of the High Court to send the woman of 23 back to her family despite her statement in court that she had willingly converted and was waiting to get married under the provisions of the Special Marriages Act.Reacting to the order, senior advocate Ravi Varma Kumar said that it violated Article 21 (of life and personal liberty) and Article 25 (of freedom of religion) of the Indian Constitution. He cited Lata Singh vs. State of Uttar Pradesh, 2006, in which the Supreme Court upheld the right of a person who had reached the age of majority to marry of his or her own choice..Also,Kirti Singh, a Supreme Court advocate and legal convener of the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), described the case as “absolutely shocking”. She said the question of national security was being mixed up with the simple case of a girl exercising a choice guaranteed to her under the law of the land and Constitution. “The court has taken a patriarchal role,” she said, stating that it reflected intolerance for the girl’s choices.

A: Duh,so what? Are you not a human being with common sense ? The Kerala high court had ordered probe over this matter. No organisation or movement in the name of ‘Love Jihad’ or ‘Romeo Jihad’ is functioning in Kerala, says the report submitted by Jacob Punnoose, Director General of Police, in the Kerala High Court yesterday. The report adds that no evidence has been found regarding the functioning of any such organisation dealing with forced conversion in the state..

Me: Ok,but the court is not really comfortable with that report..Let me add that like the Kerala police, the Dakshina Kannada police has also clarified that the rumour is baseless in the face of facts. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) claims that 3,000 Hindu girls are “missing” in Dakshina Kannada and 30,000 in the rest of the state. The police have clarified that till the end of September 2009, there were reports of 404 missing girls of whom the police had traced 332. By end October, only 57 women were still missing. Furthermore, the police have clarified that where women were missing because they had eloped, there were many cases of non-Hindus as well as Hindus eloping with Hindus.

The Dakshina Kannada police also explained that in one particular case, that of a 22-year-old girl who had been missing since June and who was rumoured to have fallen victim to this so-called “Love Jehad”, in fact, she had been murdered by a Hindu man, a serial killer who confessed to his crime.

A : Fine, let the second report come.Shall we not give them ,the muslim community atleast the margin of doubt until they are all proved jihadists and terrorists?

Me :Yes,I agree..Honestly speaking,I have no idea why is this an issue all of a sudden. And moreover,I find it very offenvive when somebody says that its easy to lure me with mobile phones and motor bikes. And moreover, who are these bishops and Sanghis to teach me how to love or love my life. How can they talk about something they have no idea about? And moreover, such is the credibility of these people..In Kerala, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s mouthpiece, Janmabhumi, sacked a woman journalist who got married to a Christian and converted. They claimed they could not employ a convert because they were against conversions.

A : :)

Me : Also,It is well known that atheists promote intercaste marriages openly and there is an association for them. Why isn’t VHP and Churcand h not taking care of those women ? Or is it that they are only bothered about women who run away with muslim men? Double standards uh?

A : :)

Me :All I have to say is,please do not mix simple human love and complicated religion.. ***sigh***

P.s: I am tired of reading Love Jihad related articles and blogposts…

I am really sorry for not replying to your comments..I am online after many many days..don’t ask me why..as there is somebody around this computer engineer, who don’t like meyself using computer.. Life is strange..JFs are a load of BS..Don’t ask me to elaborate..

Hindutva-ization/Gujarat-ization(or whatever it means) of my India..

Posted by Nimmy on January 31, 2009

Edited to add :This is not a post about Manglore pub attack.

Yeah,I am adding more to those endless posts on ‘Holy people preserving Indian culture’ floating around in blogoshpere. My friends have already put it in best words, that I have hardly anything better to say.I support you in the fight of individual freedom.Lets not make our nation another Saudi or Afghan..

Amrutha has a post on the topic, but the link she provided seemed disturbing. The author of that article justifies this incident as,‘The Rama Sainiks have done a good job in saving Hindu girls.  I am not saying this.  The masses in Mangalore stand by these so-called hooligans because they want to protect their women from the clutches of the oh-so-peaceful Islamic jehadis ” I was wondering when and how did islam or jiahdist or terrorism come in the frame..Reading more on the thread,I stumbled upon articles in OutlookIndia and IndiaToday, which persuaded me to have a look into the matter, from their viewpoint.Sharing some thoughts.

The incident of pub attack is not simply about moral policing or about political drama.See a few communal stirrings that the state (Karnataka ) has witnessed, especially in the coastal districts, after the BJP came to power last May.

  •  June 9, 2008: Temple affairs minister Krishnaiah Shetty issues circular to 34,000 temples to perform special puja for newly sworn-in CM. Order later modified after protests.
  • August 10, 2008: Karnataka Rakshana Vedike attacks a group of 35 people allegedly holding a ‘rave party’ at Manchanabele Dam
  • August 14, 2008: State-owned Mahabaleshwara Temple in Gokarna transferred to Ramachandrapur Math, known for its save-the-cow campaigns
  • August 29, 2008: The Public Instruction Department issues notices to all Christian institutions in the state to shut down to protest the violence against Christians in Orissa. Notice precursor to statewide attacks on churches.
  • September 14, 2008: With Mangalore as the epicentre, Sangh parivar activists attack Christian prayer halls and churches across state. More churches attacked three days later.
  • October 16, 2008: The largest-selling Kannada newspaper claims on its front page that conversions have gone up alarmingly after Sonia Gandhi-Congress came to power. Debates the issue on its Op-Ed page for over a month.
  •  October 30, 2008: Bajrang Dal activists attack two undertrials in Mangalore district sub jail; sixth such attack after its chief Mahendra Kumar’s arrest on September 20.
  • December 12, 2008: Aggressive posturing at Baba Budangiri by parivar leaders and Hindu pontiffs
  • December 27, 2008: Hoysala Sene attacks Fuga bar in Bangalore, alleges illegal activities
  • December 28, 2008: Bajrang Dal activists attack a bus ferrying students on a study tour to Mysore, saying girls and boys from different religions can’t travel together
  • January 6, 2009: B.V. Seetharam, editor of Mangalore-based newspaper Karavali Ale, who followed a strong anti-parivar editorial line, handcuffed and arrested in alleged extortion case. Prior to his arrest, parivar elements vandalise paper’s office.
  • January 7, 2009: Laddoos distributed in some schools across the state on Vaikunta Ekadashi. Congress demands biriyani should be distributed on Ramzan.
  • January 19, 2009: An arrested dacoit reportedly confesses links with radical Hindu groups and admits to carrying out the Hubli district court bombing before the May assembly elections
  • January 25, 2009: Sri Rama Sene activists attack pub in Mangalore and molest and beat up women
  • January 25, 2009: Bajrang Dal activists attack a private party in Mangalore
  • January 28, 2009: Muzrai department orders temples to perform special puja to ward off “ill-effects” of the solar eclipse [source]

Coming back to the recent incident of pub attack,BJP has distanced itself from Muthalik. But Outlook reports that in August 2007, when Yediyurappa was deputy CM in the H.D. Kumaraswamy cabinet, as many as 51 cases were withdrawn against parivar men, of which Mutalik is the first accused in many of these cases while VHP leader Praveen Togadia figures prominently in others.

Earlier, these guys were back of cows..They wanted the Centre to declare cow as a national animal and ban its slaughter. In March 2005, the outfit paraded naked a Muslim father and son in Adi Udupi in front of 500-600 people for allegedly “illegally trading in cows”.

However, the most common reason by far for a communal flare-up relates to the ‘mingling’ of youngsters from different communities. G. Rajashekar, co-author of The Dark Faces of Communalism, a book on communalism in Karnataka, says that according to data he has collected between May 2008 and now, there have been “14 recorded incidents of violence against Hindu girls for having been seen with either a Muslim or a Christian boy”. Prof Phaniraj, a rights activist teaching at a Manipal engineering college, says: “Since 1998, the frequency of communal incidents in the Dakshina Kannada area has increased.

The invariable plot for violence, he adds, is about a boy from a Muslim or Christian community ‘found being friendly’ with a Hindu girl, which leads to the self-styled protectors of the Hindu faith ‘intervening’ to ‘free’ the girl. Except intervening here means thrashing the boy. “We should remember that there was a sustained campaign against the Muslim community in Gujarat before Godhra happened,” says Phaniraj. Just prior to the Surathkal riots in 1998, a lot of pamphlets warning young Hindu women against going with Muslim boys were circulated.

The man who instigated the pub attack, Prasad Attavar, had in 2007 assaulted a Muslim boy at the Ideal Ice-cream Parlour in the heart of Mangalore for talking to a Hindu girl. More ghastly, however, was the 2005 incident in a Puttur cinema when two men (one Muslim) and two Hindu women working in an areca processing factory had gone to see a movie. Around 150 Bajrang Dal activists barged in, dragged the four out and assaulted them before handing them over to the police. As recently as six months ago, a Muslim and Hindu couple living together were forced to return to their native Gadag by parivar activists. “Intrusion into private spaces has become common,” says Phaniraj.

Besides the coastal districts, there has been an uneasy calm at other flashpoints like Baba Budangiri since 2004, where the Sangh parivar is hell-bent on converting the Sufi shrine with a rich tradition of religious syncretism into an exclusive Hindu pilgrimage centre. BJP leader H.N. Ananth Kumar had vowed to make it the ‘Ayodhya of Karnataka’. The Hubli Idgah Maidan issue had cropped up temporarily in September 2004 when Uma Bharati courted arrest and lost her chief ministership, but there has been little noise since then. The silence is eerie, however, and with a BJP government in power, pregnant. [source]

My dear friends, this incident is not about culture, but about religion..Its for you and me to decide on what  lessons do we learn from this incident.

p.s:

On January 17, 2008, while addressing a rally in Udupi, Muthalik said: “It’s time for blasts. Malegaon is just a trailer. Every house should have a person like Pragya Singh. Every housewife will carry bombs now.”[Watch video ]..

Some thoughts on comments on ‘Hindu terrorism”

Posted by Nimmy on October 26, 2008

Hi friends..Sorry for not replying to any comments..I am little ill and hence find it difficult to sit for long..Though I badly feel like writing a new post on latest news,I am not able to do,as lot of reading is not yet done from my part..A quick run ..

According to reports, the state police had initially detained five people. After a preliminary probe, two were let off. What came as a shock to investigating officials was that of the three detained, one was a woman, Pragya Singh, aged between 25 and 30 years. Singh is believed to be a former member of the Durga Vahini, the women’s wing of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

After the arrest of a once-fiesty sadhvi with links to saffron groups, the Malegaon bomb blast case has taken another serious turn with the possible involvement of ex-Armymen,one a retired major.

Post on my views pushed to a later day..Meanwhile please give me little time of yours and notice the flow of thoughts among people, may it be a minority or majority..In fact,I am having a good laugh reading comments section in TOI ..Sharing a few of the laudable ones .

I seriously doubt if a sadhvi was really involved and all this could be fabricated by UPA. Hindus normally do not indulge in such violence. -**cough cough**  :-) -Nimmy

Thiis all the conspiracy which has been created by congrees and their allaince just to divert the issue from development they are making this kind of unwanted things, if their is hindu terrorist group, why are they bring now in front of the people when the elections are in front, i think UPA is trying to creat sympathy. But they dont know that people are taking them serious this time, their is no hindu terrorist groups,it is just to divert the attention for the people..-hmm..wonder what this person had to say a  few days ago -Nimmy

Ridiculous .. Its just the political vendetta of the Congress Govt .It just shows how mean and cheap this Govt can go to satisfy its allies like amar singh and lalu Prasad-hmm..maybe you need to look every incident through these lenses..Neither Congress, not Lallu+team, not BJP is your robinhood..They they crave for is power..Their wiseh breed on our agonies..If India becomes a peaceful and harmonious nation, how will these people play drama.. -Nimmy

This is a conspiracy against the Hindu organizations. This is thxe last thing we could have expected from UPA govt. Jai Bharat-Oh yeah,I wonder why there happens a pro-Hindu happening everytime BJP is on weak side..and oh yeah ,hindus alone and nobody else are victims of conspiracies, aren’t they ..lol -Nimmy

Its amazing how police make awesome progress in this case but not in the Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Delhi blasts..I wonder why? -oh,so you want all or none cases to be resolved !! :-) -Nimmy

What we were afraid of has happened. Ethnic cleansing of Hindus by Muslim terrorists and UPA govt’s inability to protect Hindus has led to Hindus taking laws in their hands.-You indeed have issues..I pray people like you ,no matter which religion they belong to,die very soon of leprosy ,before you fill or pour your venom into others hearts duh -Nimmy

In India, the police, especially that in a UPA controlled state, would do anything if paid-small correction,”No matter which party rules, police will do anythign for money..I pray to God no instance happens in my life where I need police help or assistance.. -Nimmy

Media should be just informatics rather than decisive. Media should not encroach the area of judiciary. We should wait for the outcome because media/party is targeting directly to some national party.-Good that  you felt it now..Better late than never..And yeas, pls tell me what are you doing to do about those racist and venemous words said over half-said news ,days before .A criminal is a criminal,Period..But branding a person as terrorist as soon as they are arrested in suspision alone isn’t fair right?Or is your logic applicable in ‘paricular news’ alone?-Nimmy

Ho!.. What a great enthusiasm shown by police when it comes to hindu as a terrorist!- :-) lol…No comments..Peace -Nimmy

My request to all my readers..Please don’t mix religion when it comes to criminals..Neither Congress nor BJP,neither SIMI nor VHP are here to save us ,nor are they our robinhoods..All they intend is to act as a choke-starter and ignite fire in our hearts..The references to ethnic cleansing of hindus/muslims, war on Islam/Hindusim, etc etc are terms intented to mess up our fragile minds and make us pawns to achieve their ultimate political or whatever the hell their intention is.Don’t fall their prey..What our nations need today is you and me holding hands and standing together against these terrorists/criminals..Instead,if we try to find conspiracies and say that “My group doesn’t have violent elements” ,it is not going to lead us anywhere..Instead,it will make our life and our nation a disaster..We have stood up together in times of happiness and worries, lets keep doing that and show these pro- religious/well wishers that, we don’t need them..If we don’t do it today, maybe we can’t do it anyday..Until election is over ,we need to make sure neither we,nor  immediate people are ‘ignited’ by these choke-starters.

Jai Hind..Peace to all..

Tribute to a brave cop-M C Sharma

Posted by Nimmy on September 21, 2008

This post comes late, but better late than never..All my prayers and condolences to Mr M C Sharma and his family. The nation lost a brave cop and the family lost their soul.I wish he could have taken more safety precautions as to preserve himself for tomorrow,to eliminate more and more criminals.Being an encounter specialist,he should have taken atmost care while going through such tedious tasks..May this incident throw some light into the heart of criminals,as to understand what evil they are doing, and also into hearts of true officers,as to take more care.

Life of a panwala is as worthy as life of an encounter specialist..When sweepers and taxi drivers die in an encounter-by criminals uopn laymen-,we don’t see many mourning or announcing rewards..Nevermind,even I am worth only a panwala’s life and i should not be greedy or lame enough to expect my dead body to be covered with flowers, instead of lying on road for long hours covered in a piece of mat..

I wish BJP and allies won’t act dumb enough to portray the death of M C Sharma as “Hindu cop killed by muslims”..   May all those innocent and brave souls rest in peace..and may their families be taken care of by the society as they died in our place and we should be obliged to them..
