STATEMENT BY CONCERNED CITIZENS

  •  1.We, the under signed, are shocked at the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (M group) unprovoked move to revive the Vande Matram controversy now. It is a well-known fact that the debate on Vande Mataram was settled way back in 1930s with the consent of the then leadership of the Jamiat. It was then agreed upon that the controversial parts of the Vande Matram would not be recited. The practice continues. We neither believe that the Vande Mataram is a test case of some one’s patriotism. Nor do we agree with the Jamiat interpretation that reciting the song would endanger one’s faith. Therefore, we strongly condemn the Jamiat move to unnecessarily provoke a controversy around Vande Mataram at this juncture. The Jamiat move has only strengthened the Hindutva forces, which have been in disarray since the last parliamentary election. We also condemn the Hindu right wing forces’ attempt to impose its recitation on citizens to prove one’s patriotism.
  •  2.We are further shocked with the Jamiat attitude towards girls’ education. The Jamiat wants to “establish non-residential modern educational institutions for girls education” with “specially carved out syllabus which should be completed within six years.” The Jamiat further demands: “On completion of 10 years of age, complete shariat norms should be observed while continuing their education.” It is a retrogressive move not only to isolate girls from the mainstream of the national education but also to keep them confined in a secluded sectarian atmosphere. It is shocking to demand shariat norms in education for girls or for any segment of society in a secular state. We condemn this anti women move in the strongest possible manner and demand that such moves must be checked in time.
  •  3.The Jamiat though encourages Muslims to take to modern education but it advises the young Muslim students not to take admissions in government or non-government schools because in such institutions Muslims students “get isolated and sometimes unaware about their Islamic values. We see this move as an indirect attempt to keep Muslims boys away from the mainstream education, which is exactly what Hindutva forces want. It will not only keep the community backwards but would discourage Muslims from taking to education for the fear of unnecessarily loosing “Islamic values”. We, therefore, condemn it in the strongest manner and appeal the Muslims not to heed to such ill-advised moves.
  •  4.The Jamiat has also come out strongly against the Central government move to standardize modern education syllabus through establishing a madarsa board. The move, as practiced in nine other states, will open a window for madarsa students to the modern education. It will also streamline and standardize teachers’ salaries within madras’s. We support the government move in this regard and appeal the Muslim clergy to accept it in the larger interest of the community, madarsa students and madarsa teachers most of whom are presently very lowly paid.
  •  5.A widespread debate on the women reservation bill is going inside and outside the parliament. There is a divide on this issue among various political parties. But the Jamiat move to oppose the Women Reservation Bill on the ground that it is a ‘desparate attempt to bring women into the mainstream’ and that ‘this will create various other social problems including their insecurity’ is highly objectionable. We strongly condemn it because it is another move to keep the Muslim women backward.

God bless them…

..of Love Jihadist’s baby machines ..

Posted by Nimmy on November 13, 2009

love-jihadIt is indeed a sad need for those champions of Love Jihad , that the HC has ruled out Love Jihad operations, which intends to ” As per the instructions to recruits of this organisation, they have to love a Hindu girl within the time frame of 2 weeks and brainwash them to get converted and marry within 6 months. Special instructions to breed atleast 4 kids have also been given. If the target won’t get trapped within first 2 weeks, they are instructed to leave them and move on to another girl. “

Remember the SiljaRaj I mentioned in the last post, …of Love and Love jihad ? The Karnataka High Court on Friday permitted a Hindu girl from Chamarajnagar to go wherever she chooses to after the State police filed an interim report saying that there was no ‘Love Jihad’ angle to her relationship with a Muslim boy. It said Silja had of her own will gone away with Ashkar. It was Ashkar’s mother, Shahida, who asked Silja and her son to go to the Ponnai mosque in Kerala and take training from the Madrasa. It said Ashkar had no relationship with any Muslim organisation as per the information collected so far.

Kochi: Director-General of Police Jacob Punnoose on Wednesday reiterated before the Kerala High Court that no concrete or substantial evidence was available to establish that ‘Love Jihad’ was operating in the State.

However, he said he could not come to a definite or a conclusive finding due to divergence in the contents of the reports received from different subordinate units which formed the basis of his statement filed earlier before the court.

The DGP on Monday submitted the reports he had received from the subordinate units in a sealed cover before the court.

Justice K.T. Sankaran had earlier directed the DGP to file a statement and produce the reports in a sealed cover as the court was dissatisfied with the DGP’s earlier statement.

The court had issued a directive to the DGP to inform it of the activities of the ‘Love Jihad’ while considering two anticipatory bail petitions filed by two youths in a case relating to the abduction and forced conversion of a woman.

The DGP said that cogent and coherent material was available in three reports to make unambiguous statement regarding the truth of allegation on compulsive religious conversion. These reports warranted further inquiry, which he had already ordered. He said the three reports were not backed with supporting evidence to come to a positive finding.

The information in the three reports was relevant while considering the question posed by the court. He said some reports were written based on hearsay. They were not supported by any directive evidence.[.....]

I won’t say that this report is a conclusive one.Let there be more investigations in the regard and let the truth be digged out.If there are random incidents as accused, let them be nipped in their budding stage..But what bothers me is,how will those people who had spit poison from their tongues, take it back ? What will SNDP and VHP and KCBC do with their task forces, formed in regard with Love Jihad?

I suggest and request people to think twice or thrice or even more times, before you talk of matters that will drown communal harmony..

 p.s:

I wonder what make human beings talk like this..

Muslims are outsiders to India. Their loyalties are outside the borders of India. Their motto is to destroy the culture of this country. Their icons are Dawood Ibrahim, Osama Bin Laden, Mulla Omar, Ajmal Kasab and the like. Their intentions are clear while some of them try to talk differently. They don’t respect India’s National Song and the National Flag. I don’t know if their brothers in U.S.A. or elsewhere are similar. It is not wise to argue with them. The best way is to keep off. They have to their support some ‘bhrashtachari’ politicians and parties. Attacks on ‘Bharateeya Samskriti’ were there since ages. The rakshasas killed the rishis and attempted disrupt vedic rituals. The Mughals destroyed the religious structures and burnt the scriptures. But none could touch the eternal ‘Bharateeya Samskriti’. Some haywires may go astray. Elsewhere in the world some of the most ancient cultures were destroyed after the advent of some new faiths. The parents are to be faulted if their girls are falling prey to ‘love jihadists’

***sigh***

..of Vande Matharam and of dealing with bored guys..

Posted by Nimmy on November 6, 2009

I wonder what made these people/Maulavis come up with such a fatwa on Vande Matharam,now.. I am sick of dealing with Love Jidah, and yes, there comes Vande Matharam Fatwa..I have no idea why people can’t leave us laymen on their own. Your fatwas make no sense to us,except that you are adding fuel to our burning lives. Instead of combing your beautiful beards and rant unnecessary stuff, please come down to us and deal with our problems and instead of again issuing fatwas that  are of remote concern to a hungry man,may he be religious or not, please so something so that our lives have some betterment. Please provide us some food and opportunities for better education and empowerment, and then you are welcome to talk on matters like this.I am sure that the money spent on organizing that seminar would have been spent on much better productive activities. If you can’t do that, please refrain from making such statements as it is like throwing food to hungry animals, who are eager to tear it apart.

Tell me what sense does this fatwa make to you and me,this day? When you are sure that your statement not only will bring anything good, but also will make situations worse, please keep such religious statments to yourself as we have no worries going to hell just because we sang Vande Matharam. And just in case we ended up in hell becasue of this,I will tell my Lord to excuse you from not providing us valuable fatwas…But I am sure that I alone would suffer then, instead of huge lot of people who have to answer to pointed fingers and have to rant ,like me,to prove how patriotic I am to my motherland. Thank God I love Vande Matharam, otherwise I’ld have had to pick my train to Lahore this evening, for people who don’t sing this song are not allowed to stay in this country. And yes, tell me why don’t you issue a fatwa against science lessons at school, for evolution and other stuff is totally against creationism. Should I stop learning Vedic Maths?

And yes,I am happy that I am going to read on various Sanghi statements these days,as this is a good fodder for those people who were bored after the sad election results. You are bored,so you issed a fatwa,They are equally bored,so they are going to sing songs over this ..I suggest Thakereys to brew on something else rather than book us tickets to Pakistan. If anyday I need a litmus test on my nationalism and patriotism,i’ll come to you.And you fatwa-issuers  aren’t any better than Sanghis as your sole intention is to divide the community and make your grip over us,more tightened. If it were not so,you would have made more involvement is issues that are basic to religion. But let me tell you again, your statement makes no sense to us,for we are proud Indian Muslims whose faith is no weak as a strand of white beard. We know what we believe in,we know what we stand for,we know what we are proud of,we know to which community do we belong to,and finally,we know that people like you are good for nothing except create issues and spoil our daily life peace.

p.s :I remember BJP leaders doing lip-sync of Vande Matharam, when they all sang it together, the last time this fatwa issue made news. So,are they eligible to be transported to Lahore?

…of Love and Love jihad

Posted by Nimmy on November 1, 2009

A: I hate readiing newspapers, but these days,I can’t take my head out of it..Its all so exciting news..

Me: Uh,what is it so exciting..All I read is about Maoists,VS,and lot of accidents,I don’t find them exciting.

A: Didn’t you read about Love Jihad?

Me: What is that?

A: It is an organisation that aims at converting girls through love  marriage is functioning in Kerala. Hundreds of girls have been converted by this organisation through this strategy. This organisation makes use of groups of boys belonging to a particular religious faith. They are taught how to lure girls coming from different religious persuasions. They have been ordered to leave those girls who do not fall into their “love trap” within two weeks. Further, the organisation orders their followers to marry them within a short period of six month and to have at least four childrenThe “Love Jihad” organisation provides their members with mobile phones, motor cycles, good clothing, etc. for more effective allurment of girls.

Me: What the heck…Are Hindu /Christian girls, and in this case educated ones in particular,so gullible that anybody who pass by can trap them using mobile phones and battas?

A: That’s not it in complete.Various organisations have started campaging against this Love Jihad.Didn’t you read that The Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Conference (KCBC), the umbrella organisation of all the bishops of the Catholic rites of Kerala, has started awareness campaigns to teach Christian girls and parents about the dangers of the “holy war of love” by certain Islamic groups. The council asks the parents to be on the alert at all times about the responses of their daughters, so that the danger of their falling into the Love Jehad trap could be avoided. Both Hindu and Christian girls are falling prey to the design. So we are cooperating with the VHP on tackling this. We will work together to whatever extent possible.

Me : But…

A : Wait, let me complete..Pramod Muthalik, the whole sale protector  of Hindu culture has said that Sri Ram Sena has,  braced itself to protect this country and their sisters and would soon start nation-wide agitations against this issue. Sri Ram Sena will, however, not take law in its hand; but if the Government prefers to ignore them, they will have no option but to follow the same path as done in ‘pub’ issue in Karnataka.

Me : OhI know how they handled the pub issue..

A: They say that more than 4000 girls have been converted this way..

Me :What is the source?

A :Don’t ask unnecessary questions you silly girl..

Me :

A: So that you may know,Shri Rama Sene will launch a nation-wide `Save our daughters, save India’ campaign, beginning in Karnataka, against `love jihad’.

Me :Ha ha,I am glad that atleast some people are working towards the progressivness of Hindu and Christian girls..It is sad  that muslim girls are doomed and have nobody to help them when they marry out of caste..Ok,now stop overloading me with news bits ,and tell me in detail what this drama of love is all about.

A :Ok,I ‘ll explain..It all started with a love story of Silja Raj (23), a civil engineering graduate, who ran away with Ashkar,a taxi driver. She married him and later converted to Islam.Relatives enter the scene, they file complaint aginst Ashkar for kidnapping their daughter, the court intervenes,Silja says that the two were in love and that she came to him on her own and that she doesn’t want to go with her parents. But strangely, the court  asked the Karnataka DGP and IG to conduct investigation into the matter (including any role of ‘love jihad’) and to submit a report by November 13. The girl was asked to stay with her parents till that time.

Me: Hey hey, whatz that? She is 23,legally an adult..Then how can the court make an order infringing a human’s basic freedom and right to choose what she feels is right..

A : So? this world is  load of hypocrites..Feminists and others champions of human rights rant and shout about freedom of expression, freedom of choice bla bla bla..Where were they when this happened..I am sure atleast a majority would  not have missed this news. And moreover,we hear about Talibans and Talibanization of India etc etc etc every now and then. Tell me,how does it differ from a Taliban in this particular case?

Me :Thatz not true..The PUCL will question the decision of the High Court to send the woman of 23 back to her family despite her statement in court that she had willingly converted and was waiting to get married under the provisions of the Special Marriages Act.Reacting to the order, senior advocate Ravi Varma Kumar said that it violated Article 21 (of life and personal liberty) and Article 25 (of freedom of religion) of the Indian Constitution. He cited Lata Singh vs. State of Uttar Pradesh, 2006, in which the Supreme Court upheld the right of a person who had reached the age of majority to marry of his or her own choice..Also,Kirti Singh, a Supreme Court advocate and legal convener of the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), described the case as “absolutely shocking”. She said the question of national security was being mixed up with the simple case of a girl exercising a choice guaranteed to her under the law of the land and Constitution. “The court has taken a patriarchal role,” she said, stating that it reflected intolerance for the girl’s choices.

A: Duh,so what? Are you not a human being with common sense ? The Kerala high court had ordered probe over this matter. No organisation or movement in the name of ‘Love Jihad’ or ‘Romeo Jihad’ is functioning in Kerala, says the report submitted by Jacob Punnoose, Director General of Police, in the Kerala High Court yesterday. The report adds that no evidence has been found regarding the functioning of any such organisation dealing with forced conversion in the state..

Me: Ok,but the court is not really comfortable with that report..Let me add that like the Kerala police, the Dakshina Kannada police has also clarified that the rumour is baseless in the face of facts. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) claims that 3,000 Hindu girls are “missing” in Dakshina Kannada and 30,000 in the rest of the state. The police have clarified that till the end of September 2009, there were reports of 404 missing girls of whom the police had traced 332. By end October, only 57 women were still missing. Furthermore, the police have clarified that where women were missing because they had eloped, there were many cases of non-Hindus as well as Hindus eloping with Hindus.

The Dakshina Kannada police also explained that in one particular case, that of a 22-year-old girl who had been missing since June and who was rumoured to have fallen victim to this so-called “Love Jehad”, in fact, she had been murdered by a Hindu man, a serial killer who confessed to his crime.

A : Fine, let the second report come.Shall we not give them ,the muslim community atleast the margin of doubt until they are all proved jihadists and terrorists?

Me :Yes,I agree..Honestly speaking,I have no idea why is this an issue all of a sudden. And moreover,I find it very offenvive when somebody says that its easy to lure me with mobile phones and motor bikes. And moreover, who are these bishops and Sanghis to teach me how to love or love my life. How can they talk about something they have no idea about? And moreover, such is the credibility of these people..In Kerala, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s mouthpiece, Janmabhumi, sacked a woman journalist who got married to a Christian and converted. They claimed they could not employ a convert because they were against conversions.

A : :)

Me : Also,It is well known that atheists promote intercaste marriages openly and there is an association for them. Why isn’t VHP and Churcand h not taking care of those women ? Or is it that they are only bothered about women who run away with muslim men? Double standards uh?

A : :)

Me :All I have to say is,please do not mix simple human love and complicated religion.. ***sigh***

P.s: I am tired of reading Love Jihad related articles and blogposts…

Of Ramadan and hypocritical muslims…

Posted by Nimmy on September 17, 2009

Oh well,fasting/feasting is coming to an end..Being a muslim,I am not supposed to say this,as one ought to be sad that holy month is comng to an end..But my bad,I hardly find any time out of kitchen during this month and honestly speaking,I am just glad that Ramadan is going to end. .. I wonder why do people fast on first place..Early morning, the discussion starts on ‘what juice, what snack, what food, what fry etc etc etc’ for fast-break… Allah ordered fasting for muslims so that they would know how does it feel to be hungry.. and how life of a poor person is.. Duh,but is that what is happening..Of the majority i have seen in my life, they fast so that they can have a feast in the evening.. I hope I would find more free time once fasting/feasting is over

If fasting is intended to have the know-how of hunger,do poor people, who live in poverty have to fast? They remain in hunger for a greater propotion of days..they have nothing to discuss and dream of about iftars.. So,why should they fast? I don’t know..Hope somebody would answer me…

Yesterday,I went to a near ‘n’ dear one’s house.. She/he is a creative person and does plenty of beautiful paintngs..But strangely,I saw all photographs being covered up using newspapers.I asked ‘WHY’??? Reply -”Because angels will not enter a house that has paintings or photographs’….. Oh well,I am nobody to evaluate another person’s faith..?But i found it dumb that she/he ,like any other hypocritical muslims, who forms the majority of population, does these acts of worship during a single month of year…What about the remaining 11 months..?? Don’t she/he expect angels to enter her home during then ? If she/he indeed has believed that photography is prohibitted,,instead of covering it up just for a month,she/he would have thrown them away.. But oh well, thatz not going to happen..So at the end of the day,I am wondering who is she/he fooling,God or oneself? ???? : roll:

Another dear ‘n’ near one of mine is a pious muslim (that said in particular because I am branded as a non-pious person ) ..She/he builds a new home, according to Vaastu..DUH,… She/he have no idea what on earth Vaastushastra is ,but she/he checks the building plan with a vaastu-man.. The basic principle of Vasstu Shastra is to build the home, without misplacing elements upon Vaastu-purushan who is sitting down, with legs folded and face down.. To sum it up,Vaastu-shastra is all about pleasing and not making Vaastu-purushan angry… Building a home for the sake of Vaastu-purushan and praying to Allah and giving me lectures on Islam after sitting inside that house..What a load of **** .. Do people really know what they are upto…

Another conversation :

A- Mrs X is going to sit in Masjid during 27th eve of Ramadan..Ha ha ha,what nonsense!!

Me :*** Puzzled ***why did you term it as nonsense

A- Oh well, did early muslim women go to heaven after going to masjid?

Me- Well, sisnce they are dead, how do we ask them if they are in hell or heaven

A-**silence**

Me- Faith is a personal business and we better not make comments about others doing..

A- Sunnis don’t do all these innovations

Me- Sunnis are those who follow sunnah, and based on infinite hadiths one can prove and disprove each others doings. So it is wise of oneself not to make much comments on others rituals

A- **looks at me with compempt**

***end of conversation***

Why can’t people agree to disagree… ???? :-?

This is a funny would with stupid people residing in it…

p.s : I am a sutpid person,so please stop giving me lectures…

There are  a few narrations that some scholars quote that appear to support the above edicts that ban various arts, such as (1) Ali Ibn Abi Talib’s authentic narration that the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent him after the conquest of Makkah to ‘break the sculptures in Makkah’, (2) the authentic narration that the Prophet asked Aishah to remove a painting from the wall and make a carpet out of it, (3) the authentic narration in which the Prophet said that ‘God has cursed the image-makers; those who claim to create as He creates’, and (4) verse [31:6], which is popularly interpreted to mean singing and music.

Thus, some scholars say that: (1) sculptures are generally forbidden, (2) painting is generally forbidden, (3) photography is generally forbidden, and (4) singing is generally forbidden. And so on.

However, there are specific conditions that were mentioned in the above scripts/narrations themselves that entail that they were not meant to imply general rules: (1) the sculptures of Makkah were worshipped as gods, (2) the painting that the Prophet asked to be removed was in the direction of the Qiblah and was distracting him during his prayers, (3) the ‘image-makers’ were ‘claiming to create as God creates’, and (4) singing and music, if this is what the verse means, are forbidden when they ‘deviate people from the path of God’, as the verse itself is stating.

Thus, the above-mentioned arts are generally permissible unless they cause an evil similar to one of the evils mentioned in the narrations/scripts above.

Given all the above, we learn that Islam is not against any kind of arts in principle, as long as it does not violate its fixed and well-known moral stands. [source]

I hope my post would enlighten atleast one single person..Spread the truth…
