Violence will be met with violence, Togadia warns

Unfazed by the criticism his group has faced over the violence in Orissa, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Praveen Togadia has said that violence against Hindus will be met with violence.

Amen…

But Togadia insisted that Maoists did not kill Saraswati and that Christians were to blame.
“Maoists have nothing to do with this. The Orissa government is trying to save Christians in the area by releasing all these fake (information),” he said.

Amen…

Asked if re-conversions of Christians being carried out in Orissa was right, Togadia said: “We use the word conversion. We are against all conversions.”

Amen…

Im just keeping my mouth shut ,even though my hands are itching to write about what different is he ranting,when compared to bomb blasters who fight for a ’cause’..and oh,my hands are also itching to write whether isn’t the same government the source of ‘false/fake’ information when it comes to issue a press note”SIMI/Pakistan is SUPPOSED to be behind the blasts..since my readers are labelling me as a racist and communal..

So Im just tying up my hands and chanting Amen..Amen..Amen…Afterall,ours is a secular nation.I should not be partial..

  1. Togadia is a very smart man. He knows how easy it is to get name and fame in this country. Indians have never been united so what’s new now? We are ready to find reasons to hate and kill. And Togadia and his ilk are ready to provide us with reasons to hate. Many others have followed his example and the way things are going I dread to think of what’s going to happen.

    IHM,I wish these people,not only Thogadia,but all extremists from all religions inlcuding mine,use thier man power,time and effort into some productive stuff rather than just burinng public properties and ruining lives,thereby harming the nation as a whole..But sadly,there are many who applaude to such views of Thogadia’s and likes and their numbers are increasing alarmingly…

    Amen to your comment Nimmy. Amen.

  2. Communalism is a disease, and am afraid there is no instant cure to it. Time should tell. I just wish people can recognize it to be denounced when it meets their eyes and not confuse it for religious glory.

    One of the rare statement of Nehru that I agree with is that he had said- India can take care of minority fundamentalism but Hindu fundamentalism is the greatest danger to our nation & will surely destroy the country. He had banned the Hindu fundamentalist group Jan sangh, but when the Muslims enmasse, voted against Indira Gandhi’s congress party after the emergency & when she again came back to power in the 80’s, to teach the Muslims a lesson & to ensure that they do not leave the congress fold she lifted the ban & they renamed themselves as Rss /VHP etc. & she opened the Babri Masjid controversy which in reality was a ploy that the Britishers had plotted in 1856 to break the Hindu-Muslim unity during the 1857 war of independence.
    The Rss then after Indira’s death stopped supporting the congress & gave full support to Vajpayee run BJP & sent some of it’s most trusted cadres to join the BJP in politics, thus was born the biggest monster of modern India – Advani – the PM-in waiting(sic).
    Togadia has tried to run for elections, but lost his deposit ironically in Ayodya, somehow though people come in large number to listen to all sort of rabble rousers as if attending a tamasha, strangely they do not vote them if they stand for election, even the Huriyat conference has experienced this electoral loss inspite of the usual massive turnouts at their rallies, therefore they are afraid of elections. The moot point that I am trying to make is that it’s through strengthening the democratic route only, that we can countercheck their growth & destroy these destructive elements who even though in their present form are only of nuisance value, but like cancer, do have the potential of greater damage.

    Let him who wipes his soiled hands with your garment take your garment. He may need it again; surely you would not.

    @Nimmy,

    I agree with you. If all people put their time into building the economy and the nation, it would make a tremendous difference.

    I think we all need to start in our own little way, and then slowly increase our circle of influence.

    Gov,thanks for honest opinion..I’ll take care as being a racist or being a communal element is not my intention..But I wonder whether you’ld have said the same if I had written about one side of the coin-jihadists-alone..

    Funny that some muslims don’t like me,well inteasd hate me and consider me non muslim/Jew undercover bcoz I write against holy war guys…And on the other side,some non-muslims blame of being racist and communal, because I write about the other side of the coin-the trishool guys- too..Now I am under identity crisis..

  3. Okay I reread these lines..
    What do you mean? I did not understand it… I think there maybe some typos.

    “m just keeping my mouth shut ,even though my hands are itching to write about what different is he ranting,when compared to bomb blasters who fight for a ’cause’..and oh,my hands are also itching to write whether isn’t the same government the source of ‘false/fake’ information when it comes to issue a press note”SIMI/Pakistan is SUPPOSED to be behind the blasts..since my readers are labelling me as a racist and communal..

    IHM,never mind..I am fine being a racist…

    Dear,there is no hidden meaning in those lines….They sound odd and complicated as the sentence framing is not good..But then again,that was intentional..There is no reading between lines..I just pointed out the double standards of people in judging people bifferently,based on similar situations..Never mind…I am racist and communal..and so will be my posts..

    Hey Nimmy, one suggestion. Please put the links of wherever you pick up these comments so that we can read them in entirety. Most of the published and broadcasted news is available on the internet.

  4. @Aam Insaan

    Nehru was wrong when he said that minority fundamentalism is less dangerous. Our experience has shown that majority fundamentalism has strengthened because monority fundamentalism was treated with kid gloves which resulted from appeasement policies of so called “seculars”.

    @Nimmy

    You have achieved the rare feat of being a Muslim fundamentalist and non Muslim/Jew at the same time 🙂 This is indeed commendable.
