Muslims threaten to leave Facebook after four Islamic pages are taken down
More than 2.5million users will leave Facebook unless certain Islamic pages are reinstated, it has been claimed.
The Muslim community is angry that four extremely popular Islamic pages were removed from the site and the letter warns that unless its demands are met Facebook’s Muslim users will move to an Islamic alternative.
The letter demands not only that the pages are reinstated but that new rules are introduced which make it a violation of Facebook’s terms to post anti-Islamic comments.
The letter reads: ‘Although you have attended the world’s best communication skills courses you have been most successful in growing great hatred and hostility between you and Muslims around the world, but seriously this time you have caused an almost unrepairable [sic] damage.’
It accuses Facebook of ‘irresponsible behaviour’ for allowing to host ‘Everybody Draw Mohammed Day’ pages which sparked controversy for encouraging users to draw portraits of the Prophet.
The letter demands that the four deleted pages are reinstated, disrespecting Islamic religious symbols is banned and any Facebook page which does so is disabled.
It is unclear exactly why the Islamic Facebook pages, which included ‘I love Mohammed’ and ‘Quran Lovers’ were taken down in the first place.

Is it that the muslims (those ones who claim to be offended) are being cry-babies for anything and everything that is happening in this world? There are hundreds of Facebook pages abusing people of various origin and ethnic ,as well as religious background- all way from ‘F##k Islam to F##k Isreal. I don’t see them behaving like this. And what is the authenticity that 2.5 million ‘muslims’ support your cause to join some other networking site?Oh well,who cares anyway...Facebook scores 500 million users .
And afterall,the whole world says

Or is it thatthe world have rubbed off the line between freedom of speech and hate speech? Facebook showed its credibility by not deleting the ‘Draw Muhammad ” page..But what happened now? Why did they delete these pages?

It amuses me how people twist and turn the definition of ‘freedom’ as and how they like it. When Muslims start crying over their issues, they are termed radicals, darkage-walas and like. But when the very same is done by people of so-called elite class, it becomes a valid grievance.
A British Ambassador’s opinion that Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah was a “decent man” who rated among the people she most admired, was criticized . Israel found it offensive and yes,UK Govt was quick to remove her blog. What if the very same act was done by a Muslim nation? What all rants would I have had to hear 🙄
CNN, champion of freedom of speech too was swift to fire its senior editor who had an opinion of her own that “Sad to hear of the passing of Sayyed Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah… One of Hezbollah’s giants I respect a lot.Not the kind of life to be commenting about in a brief tweet. It’s something I deeply regret,” she wrote. Still, she praised Fadlallah for being a pioneer on “woman’s rights,” and warning Muslim men against abusing their wives. Stop Miss Editor,you are not supposed to say anything that makes super-powers offended and no wonder why you lost your job within hours..
Well,tell me what if it was Saudi or some other Muslim nation who was to enact the very same drama? Blogosphere would have been flooded with Islamic fundamentalism, Islamic radicalism and bla bla bla.. But sadly, its not them, the usual parties, but the liberal ones who are on the other side. So the best way out is to keep oneself mum, isn’t it?

Another Story…
On 1st December 1999 at around 10.35am, the class teacher of Mokeri East U.P. School in Koothuparambu near Panur in Kannur district and vice- president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Kerala State K.T. Jayakrishnan was conducting class for his 6th standard students. Suddenly, his bodyguard (provided by the state government to protect his life due to threats from communist criminals) disappeared and seven CPM activists entered the class room, shouted slogans and warned the students not to move, blocked the class room’s entrance, took sword-sticks and razors in their hands, came near Jayakrishnan Master and stabbed him several times. Jayakrishnan Master fell on the floor, but the heartless communist criminals did not stop and continued to stab him. After more than 48 ante-mortem injuries all over the body, Jayakrishnan Master breathed his last within five minutes.
After confirming his death, a CPM man wrote a warning to the witnesses — children and other teachers — on the blackboard that if anyone gave evidence to the police or the court, they would be killed. They left the place in procession, walking along the public road brandishing the blood-stained weapons as if they were celebrating a victory. The most horrible murder was committed in front of students less than 11 years old. The young children were shocked as their most respected class teacher was brutally murdered in front of them. The incident created psychological problems for many children who had to undergo counseling.
And the very same leaders,the very same mass say that cutting a hand is Talibanism ( no doubt it isn’t ) but the other is just ‘criminal act’..
